Learning environment
The Kingston University is revitalising its four campuses (Penrhyn Road, Kingston Hill campus, Knights Park, Roehampton Vale), opening four impressive new buildings during the past five years as part of a £123-million programme which will run to 2018. The new facilities, which include multiple projection systems, video conferencing, interactive displays and built-in voting systems, have won plaudits from staff and students alike. Each campus has a library, in which students will find not only books but: CD-Roms; DVDs and video; CDs and sheet music; printed journals, a newspaper archive and silent and group study areas. There are also 3,000 networked computers available for student use. Many of laboratories, design studios and workshops are fitted with the latest technical equipment.
The University has superb facilities for outdoor sports, including rugby, football, cricket, archery, netball and tennis. Our newly refurbished Tolworth Court sports ground has 14 football pitches; two rugby pitches; two cricket squares; mini-soccer pitches; floodlit training areas; two netball courts; three tennis courts; and a six/seven a-side hard-court football pitch.
